NPI ENGINEER

Job Responsibility

1. Product Development & Transition

• Serve as the main point of contact between design and manufacturing teams during the product development lifecycle.
• Review product designs to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and oversee pilot production runs to validate production processes and workflows.

2. Process Development & Optimization

• Establish robust manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Identify potential production issues and provide engineering solutions to mitigate risks.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.

3. Project Management

• Develop and manage project plans for NPI activities, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor progress against key milestones and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to address challenges and meet project objectives.

4. Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with the Quality team to define inspection criteria and ensure new products meet quality standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformance issues during pilot and initial production runs.
• Support the creation of process documentation, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Drive initiatives to improve product design and manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement lessons learned from previous NPIs to refine future processes.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance production capabilities.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC machining, turning, milling, etc.).
• Expertise in jig and fixture design using CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and automation.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with process validation tools(FMEA, control plans, statistical analysis).
• CAD /CAM /Design Knowledge Essential.
  Solidworks knowledge will be advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Office software skill Excel & Power Point etc.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
