Production Manager

Position Summary 

The Production Manager leads daily manufacturing operations to achieve output, quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets within a semiconductor environment. This role oversees assembly and packaging processes, drives operational excellence, and ensures stable, high-yield, and high throughput manufacturing performance. 

The incumbent partners closely with Process, Equipment, Quality, Planning, and Engineering teams to ensure robust process control, rapid issue resolution, and continuous productivity improvement. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead daily production operations to meet output, OEE, yield, and on-time delivery targets. 

• Monitor WIP flow, line balancing, bottlenecks and cycle time to optimize throughput and capacity utilization. 

• Drive yield improvement initiatives and reduce scrap, rework, and material overconsumption. 

• Ensure strict adherence to process control, SPC, MES discipline, and change management protocols. 

• Lead structured problem-solving (8D, RCA, Fishbone, 5 Why) for quality excursions and production deviations. 

• Oversee new product introduction (NPI) readiness, ramp-up execution, and risk mitigation. 

• Drive cost control initiatives, including consumables, optimization and productivity improvement. 

• Ensure compliance with EHS, cleanroom discipline, and semiconductor quality standards. 

• Develop supervisors and production teams to strengthen technical competency and accountability. 

• Review capacity planning, manpower deployment, and shift performance to ensure sustainable operations. 

• Support management reviews with KPI reporting (Yield, OEE, Utilization, Scrap, Overuse, Downtime). 

Requirements 

• Minimum 8-10 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, preferably in advanced packaging or assembly operations. 

• At least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role. 

• Min. diploma qualification and above. 

• Positive and can-do attitude as well as willingness to accept challenges. 

• Demonstrate commitment to work and able to perform shift duties. 

• Good analytical skills and initiative.
