Job Summary

Arkema Singapore is seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead production operations within our PA11 unit at our Jurong Island manufacturing site. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while leading Shift Leaders, Process Technicians, and Material Handlers to achieve production and HSEQ objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Shift Leaders, Process Technicians, Lead Material Handler, and Material Handlers to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations that meet production goals
• Achieve production targets while maintaining product quality standards and controlling operational costs
• Analyze and troubleshoot operational issues to optimize unit performance and enhance process reliability
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the Maintenance Coordinator to maximize plant availability and minimize downtime
• Manage manpower deployment, develop work schedules, and implement training plans to maintain operational readiness
• Support competency development and career progression for operations and material handling teams through coaching and training initiatives
• Promote and enforce a strong HSEQ culture ensuring compliance with Arkema's Integrated Management System and safety standards
• Participate actively in emergency response efforts, conduct incident investigations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing industries

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Practical knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations and process engineering to support operational excellence
• Familiarity with hazardous chemical processes and risk management to ensure safe plant operations
• Experience in production management and maintenance coordination to drive operational efficiency
• Strong leadership and people management skills to effectively lead diverse teams
• Good problem-solving and organizational abilities to address operational challenges proactively
• Effective communication and decision-making capabilities to facilitate collaboration and timely resolutions
• Proactive, results-oriented, and self-motivated approach to meet production and safety goals
