Quality Assurance Technician

The client is a Sheetmetal Fabrication House specializing in precision metal component manufacturing and quality assurance services.

Job Summary

Perform detailed inspections and measurements on sheet metal components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer standards, collaborating effectively across teams to maintain quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections on sheet metal components to verify quality and conformity
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to obtain accurate measurements
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to guide inspection processes
• Ensure all parts meet strict customer standards by applying quality control procedures and compliance checks
• Communicate clearly and effectively with workers at different levels to coordinate inspection activities and resolve issues
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills to support teamwork and collaboration
• Work independently and proactively contribute to team objectives
• Collaborate as a team player to support continuous improvement and operational goals
• Perform other duties as assigned to support quality assurance and production processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum Mechanical Engineering studies or relevant experience in sheet metal inspection and fabrication
