Sales & Trading Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales & Trading Executive with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our client's expanding team. In this role, you will act as a vital link between chemical manufacturers, suppliers, and end-customers. You will manage the end-to-end buying and selling of oleochemical products (e.g., fatty acids, fatty alcohols, glycerine) and personal care ingredients (e.g., soap noodles, IPM, IPP, polysorbates).

The primary focus of this position is expanding market reach, optimizing sales volumes, and maximizing profit margins within key regional territories.

• Target Regional Focus: North America / Latin America OR Middle East & Africa

Responsibilities

• Trade Execution & Sales: Generate and execute trades, proactively identify new business opportunities, and manage both purchase and sales portfolios for oleochemical products.
• Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with a diverse regional stakeholder network, including key procurement and sales professionals.
• Contract Negotiation & Compliance: Negotiate favorable trade terms, develop strategic pricing structures, and finalize commercial contracts while ensuring absolute compliance with corporate policies.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market research to monitor global supply/demand trends, pricing shifts, and competitor activities to capitalize on market opportunities.
• Logistics & OTIF Monitoring: Collaborate closely with internal operations and external logistics teams to coordinate shipping schedules, ensuring On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery according to customer specifications.
• Risk & Credit Management: Effectively manage customer payment terms, credit limits, and commercial risks to protect and benefit the business's bottom line.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of proven sales and trading experience within the oleochemicals, allied chemicals, or specialty chemical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of oleochemical product applications, global market dynamics, and international trade operations (including both bulk and container shipping).
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing complex trade cycles and building lasting client relationships.
