Security Guard

Job Description:

Access Controls & Visitor Management

• Responsible for the guardhouse to verify the identity of all individuals entering the premises

• Issue visitor passes and maintains an accurate log of all entries and exits (digital or manual)

• Conduct vehicle checks for delivery trucks and contractors to ensure no unauthorized goods enter or leave the site

• Enforce company policies regarding restricted areas

Patrol & Surveillance

• Conduct regular foot patrols of the facility to deter crime and security risks

• Monitor CCTC cameras feeds and alarm systems continuously

• Check that all doors, windows and gates are properly locked and secured after hours

Emergency Response & Safety (EHS)

• Act as the first responder in the event of fire, medical emergencies, or security breaches

• Assist in the evacuation of the building during fire drills or actual emergencies

• Report Health & Safety hazards immediately

• Enforce safety protocols, such as ensuring visitors wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in designated zones

Incident Reporting & Administration

• Maintain a detailed Daily Occurence Book (DOB) or security log

• Write clear and concise incident reports for any disturbances, accidents or thefts

• Manage key control systems

• Adhoc duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Valid Security Officer License (PLRD with clearance)

• Minimum O level or equivalent

• At least 1-2 years of experience in security; preferably in a manufacturing, warehouse or corporate setting

• Required to perform foot patrols, standing for extended periods & handle emergency situations

• Able to communicate effectively in English with all staff and write reports

• PC literate (eg. email, visitor management systems) and familiar with CCTC monitoring

• Advantageous if certified in First Aid/CPR/AED

• Required to work both rotating day & night, 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays
