SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

• Schedules, assigns and plans the work of carpentry factory personnel performing a variety of carpentry projects.
• Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of carpentry expenditures and procedures for equipment maintenance.
• Supervises carpenters to ensure safety and quality in the performance of assigned tasks.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Constructs custom cabinetry and furniture as needed; repairs or modifies furniture as needed.
• Conform to an established work schedule.
• Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years related experience
• Good interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
• Good management of materials cost and stock inventory
• Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns
• Joinery and cabinet making skills
• Able to work for long hours period or night shift
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
