Job Summary

The Car Repair Supervisor oversees daily workshop operations, ensuring vehicle repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. This role involves supervising technicians, managing workflow, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of automotive technicians and mechanics
• Assign repair jobs based on skill level and workload
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards
• Diagnose complex vehicle issues and provide technical guidance
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and adherence to deadlines
• Maintain workshop safety standards and enforce compliance
• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Coordinate with parts department for availability of materials
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and provide technical explanations when needed
• Maintain service records, reports, and documentation
• Train and mentor junior technicians

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience (typically 3–5+ years) in automotive repair, with supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, diagnostics)
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop software
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
