Supervisor (2nd Grinding)

Job Summary

Supervise and optimize daily operations of the 2nd Grinding Department to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules while developing leadership skills for future departmental management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the 2nd Grinding Department to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and meet delivery schedules
• Lead, guide, and motivate production employees to maintain discipline and enhance productivity
• Monitor machine performance and collaborate with the Maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures
• Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency
• Plan and allocate manpower effectively to fulfill operational requirements
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality Assurance/Control, and Assembly departments to ensure smooth production flow
• Prepare production reports and track key performance indicators to assess departmental performance
• Assist in training and developing operators and junior supervisors to build team capability and succession readiness

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in grinding or machining operations
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Knowledge of grinding processes
