Technician Job Scope

Position Title:

Technician

Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing works to ensure products, equipment, or systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of products/equipment
• Conduct troubleshooting and repair works on site or in workshop
• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing
• Inspect equipment and identify faults or technical issues
• Ensure all works are completed according to company standards and safety requirements
• Provide technical support and solutions to customers
• Attend onsite service appointments and handle customer feedback professionally
• Maintain proper documentation of service reports and work completed
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams when required
• Assist in product demonstrations or technical explanations when needed

Requirements:

• Basic technical knowledge and hands-on skills
• Able to use tools and equipment safely
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Possess Class 3 driving license (if required)
• Prior experience in servicing/installations is an advantage

Preferred Skills:

• Electrical / mechanical knowledge
• Plumbing or sanitary installation experience
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to read technical drawings or schematics

Reporting To:

• Technical Supervisor / Operations Manager / Service Manager

Work Environment:

• Onsite servicing
• Showroom support
• Warehouse or workshop operations
• Customer premises installation and maintenance works
