About the Role
We are looking for an Associate SEM Manager / SEM Manager to join one of OMD’s most valuable account teams, supporting one of the world’s most iconic global brands.
This role sits at the centre of performance media execution, with a strong focus on Search. You will be responsible for driving SEM strategy, campaign excellence, budget management, client engagement, and performance optimisation across key markets.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, confident with numbers, and able to manage both executional excellence and client-facing responsibilities independently.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead the strategy, planning and direction of market budgets and flighting, with a strong focus on Search
Manage day-to-day client engagement and act as a trusted performance media partner
Drive SEM innovation, experiments and initiatives, including areas such as Search AI Max
Lead regional calls with clients, local teams and key stakeholders
Prepare and present QBR reports independently
Set up, manage and optimise SEM campaigns through platforms such as Marin, Skai, Google Ads and other relevant tools
Support YouTube SEM activity via Google Ads where required
Lead the Search activation team in daily campaign monitoring, optimisation and budget management
Develop clear, accurate and client-facing performance reports
Apply strong keyword, audience and ad copy experience to improve campaign outcomes
Manage large budgets with confidence, accuracy and accountability
Own budget planning, tracking and media finance coordination for assigned campaigns
Manage vendor relationships and work closely with media partners
Collaborate effectively with creative agencies, media partners, OMD global teams, local teams and clients
Ensure all work is delivered with high accuracy, strong attention to detail and clear follow-through
Required Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should have:
At least 3 years of hands-on Search experience, including Google Ads, Bing and PLA
At least 1 year of client management, account management or media agency experience
Strong understanding of SEM campaign setup, optimisation, reporting and performance management
Experience working with platforms such as Marin, Skai, Google Ads or similar tools
Strong numerical ability and confidence managing sizable media budgets
Excellent attention to detail, with accuracy as a core working standard
Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns, processes and stakeholders
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and time management skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Ability to articulate recommendations confidently and persuasively
Strong client, partner and inter-agency relationship management skills
Organised, structured and efficient working style
Adaptability in a fast-moving media and performance marketing environment
A motivated, energetic and approachable working style
