Job Description - Associate Marketing Specialist

The Associate Marketing Specialist – APAC supports the execution of marketing and product initiatives across the region, working closely with the Marketing Manager - APAC and cross-functional teams.

This role focuses on operational execution, coordination, and performance tracking, ensuring marketing activities and product initiatives are delivered on time and with high quality.

The role contributes to demand generation and product support by managing data, content, tools, and processes, enabling effective execution across markets and channels.

This is a hands-on role suited for a detail-oriented, proactive, and curious individual looking to build experience in marketing and category management within a regional environment.


1. Demand Generation Support & Execution

  • Support the execution of marketing plans across APAC markets and channels
  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing assets (eCommerce content, POS materials, digital assets)
  • Ensure marketing materials are available, accurate, and delivered on time for key activation moments (launches, promotions, campaigns)
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality of content across touchpoints
  • Support local teams with marketing materials and execution needs

2. Product & Portfolio Support

  • Maintain and update product information, specifications, and documentation
  • Support product launches by ensuring all required materials and data are ready and available
  • Build and maintain product comparison and competitive benchmarking tools
  • Track product performance and support reporting on new launches and portfolio evolution
  • Monitor market and competitive activity (pricing, assortment, product trends)

3. Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track and report on marketing and product performance (campaigns, content, sell-out trends)
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources to support performance reviews
  • Support analysis of marketing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain dashboards, reports, and tracking tools used by the Marketing Manager
  • Coordination & Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate across functions (Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Global teams) to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
  • Manage and maintain marketing and product assets in internal tools (e.g. BOX or similar platforms)
  • Support preparation of internal presentations and reports
  • Assist with planning and coordination of key events (e.g. distributor meetings, product launches)
  • Support ad-hoc projects and operational tasks as needed
  • Marketing and product initiatives are executed on time, with high accuracy and quality
  • Marketing assets and product information are well organized, up to date, and easily accessible
  • Performance data is reliable, structured, and supports decision-making
  • Strong coordination across teams enables smooth and efficient execution
  • The role proactively identifies issues and supports solutions
  • The Marketing Manager is effectively supported, enabling focus on strategy and business priorities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with high attention to detail
  • Execution-focused mindset, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable working with data and performance tracking
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills (primarily internal)

  • Ability to work independently while following clear direction

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, category, or commercial support roles
  • Experience working in a structured business environment (internships included)
  • Exposure to marketing, product, or commercial processes.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in FMCG, consumer electronics, or retail environments
  • Exposure to eCommerce, digital marketing, or content management
  • Familiarity with data tools (Excel, dashboards, reporting tools)
  • Experience in matrix organizations with cross-functional and multicultural exposure

SKILLS

  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working with data and basic analysis
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear and effective communication skills (mainly internal)
  • Team player, able to work across functions
  • Proactive and willing to learn
  • Hands-on, reliable, and action-oriented
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese is preferred.
