Job Description - Business Development Director

Company Overview

Winds of Change 2 Pte. Ltd. ("WoC2") is a Singapore-based investment holding company focused on renewable energy, infrastructure, and related sectors. It partners with investors and advisors to drive long-term growth across multiple jurisdictions.

Job Summary

The Director, Business Development will lead strategic growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, establishing partnerships, and supporting investment evaluations to advance the Company’s expansion goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new business and investment opportunities aligned with the Company’s growth strategy to drive expansion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, business partners, financial institutions, and professional advisors to support business objectives.
  • Conduct market research, commercial assessments, and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support the evaluation and development of new projects, investments, and strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate with legal, financial, technical, and commercial advisors throughout project development and transaction processes to facilitate smooth execution.
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations, and reports for management to communicate opportunities and progress effectively.
  • Assist in negotiations with stakeholders, partners, and investors to secure favorable terms and partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market opportunities to anticipate changes and adapt strategies.
  • Support cross-border business development and strategic expansion initiatives to grow the Company’s international presence.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, corporate development, investment, infrastructure, renewable energy, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in developing strategic partnerships and managing complex commercial projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and risks.
  • Experience working with international stakeholders to manage cross-border initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence and secure agreements.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English for effective communication.
