Job Description - Client Growth Director

Role Overview

The Client Growth Director will be Jeffery’s senior client-facing growth lead for Singapore-based, regional, and high-value English-speaking clients.

This role will represent Jeffery in client meetings, business visits, strategic pitches, tender presentations, industry events, seminars, networking activities, and partnership discussions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building senior client trust, shaping marketing solutions, and driving opportunities from first conversation to proposal, negotiation, closing, renewal, and account growth.

This role requires strong consultative selling skills, senior stakeholder management, cross-border marketing understanding, and the ability to translate client business objectives into clear, commercially viable marketing and growth solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development & Revenue Growth

· Develop new business opportunities across Singapore and selected regional markets.

· Build and manage a pipeline of high-value clients, including universities, public institutions, tourism and cultural organisations, healthcare clients, B2B companies, brands, agencies, and ecosystem partners.

· Conduct client visits, business meetings, discovery sessions, and senior-level sales conversations.

· Identify cross-border, social media, lead generation, and integrated marketing opportunities.

· Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, needs discovery, proposal development, pitching, negotiation, closing, and account expansion.

· Convert opportunities from referrals, inbound enquiries, tenders, ecosystem partnerships, industry events, overseas outreach, and proactive business development.

· Drive new revenue, qualified pipeline creation, proposal conversion, and high-value deal closure.

2. Senior Client Relationship Management

· Build and maintain senior-level relationships with marketing directors, admissions leaders, communications heads, international office leaders, programme directors, business owners, agency partners, and public-sector stakeholders.

· Act as a trusted growth advisor to clients

· Understand client business objectives, marketing challenges, procurement processes, budget cycles, decision-making structures, and long-term growth needs.

· Lead senior client meetings, business reviews, renewal discussions, proposal presentations, and strategic account conversations.

· Drive account growth through renewal, upsell, cross-sell, internal referrals, and department expansion opportunities.

3. Strategic Proposals, Tenders & Commercial Conversion

· Lead or support high-value strategic pitches, tender presentations, proposal meetings, and commercial negotiations.

· Participate in key tender opportunities by supporting client communication, needs clarification, presentation preparation, and post-submission follow-up.

· Work with internal teams to translate client needs into actionable solutions across content, social media, paid campaigns, KOL/KOC activation, lead generation, landing pages, WeCom, reporting, and integrated marketing programmes.

· Support the development and improvement of sales decks, company credentials, case studies, industry proposals, tender materials, and standardised product packages.

· Ensure proposals are commercially realistic, clearly scoped, and aligned with Jeffery’s delivery capabilities.

4. Market Representation & Industry Presence

· Represent Jeffery at industry exhibitions, education events, marketing forums, business chambers, client seminars, partner events, and networking activities.

· Speak, present, or participate in panels, seminars, client briefings, or partner sessions when commercially relevant.

· Build new client relationships, institutional connections, partner channels, and referral opportunities through external market engagement.

· Collect market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor insights to support business strategy and product development.

5. Key Account Growth & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work with account managers to identify renewal, upsell, cross-sell, and internal referral opportunities from existing clients.

· Work with sales planning, operations, creative, media, content, and execution teams to build practical and client-ready solutions.

· Ensure client expectations, service scope, pricing logic, delivery commitments, and internal resources are aligned before closing.

· Support quarterly business reviews, renewal presentations, strategic account plans, and long-term growth planning for key clients.

· Provide market and client feedback to improve Jeffery’s products, service packages, proposal templates, and delivery models.

Job Requirements

Experience & Background

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, Brand Strategy, or a related field.

· 7+ years of experience in client growth, business development, strategic sales, key account management, digital marketing, integrated marketing, agency services, education marketing, public-sector marketing, or cross-border marketing.

· Proven experience in developing new clients, managing senior relationships, and converting high-value opportunities.

· Experience selling to or working with universities, education institutions, public-sector organisations, government-linked entities, tourism and culture organisations, healthcare clients, B2B companies, brands, or agencies is strongly preferred.

· Experience in consultative selling, strategic account management, enterprise sales, agency pitching, or tender presentation is highly preferred.

· Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, paid media, influencer/KOL marketing, lead generation, and integrated campaign strategy.

· Understanding of China-facing marketing, Chinese digital platforms, Chinese-speaking audiences, and cross-border growth is required.

· Existing relationships with Singapore-based institutions, education-sector contacts, public-sector stakeholders, agencies, brand-side marketing leaders, or business communities are a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong new business development, client visit, and senior client engagement capabilities.

· Excellent consultative selling, pitching, storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to lead discovery meetings, identify client pain points, and shape strategic solutions.

· Strong commercial judgement, including opportunity qualification, budget assessment, pricing sensitivity, closing strategy, and account growth planning.

· Ability to translate complex marketing needs into clear, client-ready, commercially viable proposals.

· Strong understanding of client business goals, marketing KPIs, audience behaviour, and campaign success metrics.

· Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across sales planning, account management, operations, creative, media, content, and execution teams.

· Strong ownership, follow-through, self-motivation, and pipeline management discipline.

· Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial agency environment.

Language & Market Fit

· Native-level English proficiency is required, both written and spoken.

· Mandarin proficiency will be beneficial, both written and spoken, to work with China-facing clients, Chinese-speaking stakeholders, and China-based execution teams.

· Comfortable working across local, regional, and cross-border business contexts.
