Job Description - designer

Meet with clients or art directors to determine project scope, requirements, timescale, and budget
Create visual elements such as logos, original images, illustrations, and graphics using digital software and hand-drawing techniques
Design layouts including selection of colors, images, typefaces, font styles and sizes, and arrangement of copy and illustrative material
Use digital illustration, photo editing software, and layout software to prepare designs and mock-ups
Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts based on agreed briefs, making decisions about readability and visual impact
Prepare rough drafts and present design concepts to clients, stakeholders, or senior leadership
Incorporate changes and feedback recommended by clients into final designs while managing expectations
Review final layouts for errors and suggest improvements before printing or publishing
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping stakeholders updated on progress and meeting deadlines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including writers, marketers, product engineers, and other designers for cohesive deliverables
Liaise with external printers or production teams to ensure material is produced to the highest quality
Stay up to date with design trends, software updates, and industry best practices
Maintain and update portfolio with professional work samples demonstrating design capabilities
