DESIGNER/SENIOR DESIGNER (WAYFINDING)

Position Summary 

We are seeking a Wayfinding Designer to lead the planning, design, and implementation of signage systems across diverse projects. In this role, you will develop user-centric strategies, manage project delivery, and coordinate with stakeholders. You will ensure all solutions meet functional, aesthetic, regulatory, and budgetary requirements. This position suits a designer who values both creative design and the discipline required to deliver projects from concept to completion. 

Key Responsibilities 

Wayfinding Design 

• Develop comprehensive wayfinding strategies and signage masterplans for commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, educational, transportation, and public realm projects. 

• Conduct site audits, user journey analysis, and stakeholder consultations to identify wayfinding requirements. 

• Prepare sign location plans, message schedules, sign family hierarchies, and wayfinding documentation. 

• Design signage systems, environmental graphics, and information displays that align with project branding and architectural intent. 

• Produce concept designs, presentations, design reports, and technical documentation. 

• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, engineers, and client representatives throughout the design process. 

• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, building regulations, and industry best practices. 

Project Management 

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through implementation and completion. 

• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. 

• Coordination with internal teams, external consultants, vendors, fabricators, and contractors as necessary. 

• Review shop drawings, prototypes, material samples, and mock-ups. 

• Conduct site inspections and oversee signage installation to ensure design intent and quality standards are achieved. 

Requirements 

• Able to think creatively and address challenges innovatively  

• Maintain an awareness of trends and developments in design materials, techniques and technologies including generative AI 

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. 

• Must be a team player and be able to work independently on assigned projects. 

• Positive working attitude, hardworking, motivated and meticulous  

• 5+ years of experience in wayfinding, signage design, environmental graphics, or related fields. Experience in signage fabrication and installation processes is advantageous. 

• Strong understanding of wayfinding principles, human-centered design, and user experience. 

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop etc). 

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, or project management tools is advantageous
