Job Description - Digital Business & Corporate Branding Manager
OVERVIEW
The E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading Yamaha Music Singapore's digital business strategy, e-commerce operations, digital marketing initiatives and corporate branding activities to support business growth and enhance the overall customer experience.
The incumbent will lead and develop a team responsible for the planning, execution and continuous improvement of the company's e-commerce platform, digital marketing campaigns and branding initiatives. Working closely with the IT Group, Retail Group, Music School Group and Product Sales & Marketing Group, the role drives digital transformation by translating business requirements into innovative digital solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen brand presence and support sales growth.
The role also champions the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics and emerging digital technologies to enhance marketing effectiveness, optimize business processes and deliver meaningful customer experiences. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for managing departmental budgets, external agencies and technology partners to ensure successful delivery of digital initiatives aligned with Yamaha Music Singapore's strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, coach and develop the E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and Corporate Branding team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Set clear goals, monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Plan manpower resources, succession planning and capability development to support future business growth.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for e-commerce, digital marketing and corporate branding in alignment with the company's business objectives.
Lead the company's omni channel strategy by integrating retail, e-commerce, CRM and customer engagement initiatives to deliver a seamless customer experience across all customer touchpoints.
Drive CRM and customer data strategy through Salesforce, customer analytics and marketing automation platforms to improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention and customer lifetime value.
Identify new digital business opportunities and recommend innovative solutions to improve revenue, customer engagement and brand awareness.
Formulate annual departmental plans, KPIs and budgets.
E-Commerce Management:
Lead the strategic development, management and continuous enhancement of Yamaha Music Singapore's e-commerce platform.
Work closely with the IT Group to gather business requirements, prioritize system enhancements and implement digital solutions that improve business operations and customer experience.
Collaborate with the Retail Group, Music School Group and Product Sales& Marketing Group to support online sales initiatives, product launches, promotional campaigns and digital business opportunities.
Drive the integration of e-commerce, Salesforce CRM, customer engagement platforms and marketing technologies to deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
Monitor website performance, online sales, conversion rates and customer behaviour, recommending improvements based on data analytics and customer insights.
Oversee online merchandising, promotional activities, system testing and deployment of new platform enhancements.
Digital Marketing:
Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies across paid, owned and earned media to support business objectives.
Lead the planning and execution of digital campaigns, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO),AI-powered Search Optimisation and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing and online advertising.
Leverage Salesforce, marketing automation platforms and customer analytics to deliver targeted, personalised and data-driven marketing campaigns.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop integrated marketing campaigns that support retail promotions, music education programmes, product launches and corporate initiatives.
Analyse campaign performance, customer insights and marketing data to optimise effectiveness, maximise return on investment (ROI) and improve customer engagement.
Corporate Branding:
Ensure all marketing collaterals, digital content, advertising materials, retail visual merchandising, corporate communications and promotional activities comply with Yamaha's global corporate branding guidelines and standards established by headquarters.
Review and oversee the development of branding and marketing materials to ensure consistency across all online and offline customer touchpoints.
Collaborate with the Retail Group, Music School Group and Product Sales& Marketing Group to ensure branding is consistently applied across stores, schools, events, product launches and marketing campaigns.
Provide guidance and governance on brand compliance to ensure all customer-facing materials accurately reflect Yamaha's corporate identity and brand values.
Financial & Vendor Management:
Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for e-commerce, digital marketing and branding activities.
Monitor expenditure to ensure effective utilisation of resources and achievement of business objectives.
Evaluate, appoint and manage external agencies, technology vendors and service providers, ensuring quality delivery and value for investment.
Analytics & Business Performance:
Establish performance metrics and dashboards to monitor digital business performance.
Analyse website traffic, online sales, campaign performance and market trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Present regular performance reports, business insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
AI & Digital Innovation:
Champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging digital technologies across marketing and business operations.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve content creation, campaign planning, workflow automation, business reporting and productivity.
Drive digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, Communications or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, AI or Project Management will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, corporate branding or digital business management.
At least 2 years of experience leading and managing a team.
Proven track record in developing digital strategies, managing e-commerce platforms and delivering cross-functional digital projects.
Experience in retail, consumer products, education or a related industry is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
E-commerce platform management and optimisation.
Digital marketing strategy, campaign planning and performance management.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), including AI-powered search optimisation, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Search Console.
Content Management Systems (CMS) and website content management.
Digital advertising across search, display and social media platforms.
AI tools and applications (e.g. Chat GPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude or equivalent) to enhance marketing effectiveness, productivity and content creation.
Data analytics, performance reporting and dashboard development.
Budget planning, vendor management and procurement.
Digital transformation, emerging technologies and customer experience optimisation.
