Role Purpose
The Executive for Community Development (Community Programmes & Learning) supports the day-to-day coordination of MTFA’s community programmes, including senior support initiatives and community learning programmes. Working under the direction of the Assistant Director, this role assists in programme coordination, learner and participant liaison, event logistics, curriculum support, and learning data tracking to ensure smooth and effective programme delivery.
Community Development (Community Programmes & Learning) creates meaningful touchpoints for the communities MTFA serves. At the Executive level, this role provides essential operational and coordination support to keep programmes running consistently and to a high standard.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in the logistical coordination of community learning programmes, including session scheduling, venue booking, and trainer liaison.
• Support the preparation of learning materials, including printing, formatting guides, and assembling participant packs.
• Help maintain the schedule of classes, trainers, and venues under direction from the Assistant Director.
• Assist in coordinating with scholars and trainers on session logistics, timesheets, and payment approvals.
• Collect and compile participant attendance and basic feedback data after each session.
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of senior support programmes at designated locations.
• Help prepare training materials, equipment, and participant resources for senior programme sessions.
• Support youth ambassadors, volunteers, and facilitators during programme delivery.
• Track participate attendance and compile basic programme data as directed.
• Liaise with community partners and venue contacts to support smooth session delivery.
• Assist in the coordination of curriculum-related activities, including scheduling of content review meetings and collating input from subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and formatting of educational content and learning resources for distribution across relevant channels and platforms.
• Help organise and maintain the learning content library in internal systems with proper filing and tagging.
• Assist in coordinating train-the-trainer sessions by handling logistics, materials, and participant communications.
• Help compile external resources and partnership materials as directed.
• Support communications with programme participants, community partners, and external facilitators on logistical and administrative matters.
• Assist in managing enquiries and follow-ups related to programme registration, schedules, and attendance.
• Help coordinate engagement activities with community groups and beneficiaries to support programme outreach.
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders under guidance from the Assistant Director.
• Maintain accurate records of all community programmes, sessions, and participant data.
• Assist in preparing programme activity reports and updates for the Assistant Director’s review.
• Compile basic feedback summaries from participant evaluations and post-session reviews.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of service records, data forms, and compliance documentation.
Ability to take on cross-functional responsibilities and be deployed across different port folios or workstreams within the Ecosystem Cluster, in line with organisational needs and evolving priorities.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in education coordination, community programmes, or administrative support.
• Basic understanding of adult learning principles and diverse learner needs is an advantage.
• Familiarity with content tools and basic data entry or tracking.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
• Understanding of Islamic education or community development context is an advantage.
