Interaction Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for a multidisciplinary Interaction Designer to join our creative technology studio. You will design, prototype and deliver interactive experiences that combine design, AI, and emerging technologies for art experiences, exhibitions, retail, public spaces, and brand activations.

As part of a small team, you'll work across interaction design, technology and project delivery, collaborating directly with clients, developers and fabricators from concept through installation. Beyond designing experiences, you'll help coordinate projects, build prototypes, explore new technologies and support successful deployments.

This role is ideal for you if you enjoy creating, experimenting and solving problems across both digital experiences and physical spaces, and are excited to work at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design engaging interactive experiences, interfaces and user journeys across digital and physical platforms.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and presentation materials to communicate concepts effectively.
• Build and test interactive prototypes using creative technologies, AI workflows and physical computing platforms.
• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables and documentation to support successful project execution.
• Attend client meetings, prepare meeting notes and follow up on action items.
• Liaise with developers, fabricators, suppliers and project partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of interactive experiences.
• Contribute to proposals, quotations, and continuous improvement of studio workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients, collaborators and multidisciplinary teams.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, design, prototyping and documentation.
• Curious about emerging technologies with a willingness to continuously learn and experiment.
