Job Description - Lead (Retail Media Business Operations & Measurement)
Role Overview
As the Lead (Retail Media Business Operations & Measurement), you are the primary architect of the operational framework that powers FPG ADvantage. You will work directly with the Retail Media Network (RMN) Leadership team to design, implement, and scale the business processes that bridge the gap between sales strategy and technical execution. You are not just managing a team; you are ensuring the entire RMN operates at peak efficiency, translating complex operational data into strategic roadmaps that drive sustainable revenue growth and client ROI.
Core Operational Responsibilities
1. Business Process Design & Excellence
Operational Architecture: Define and scale the end-to-end lifecycle of a campaign—from pre-sales support and resource allocation to final reporting and billing.
SOP & SLA Management: Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across teams to ensure "Gold Standard" delivery.
Resource Optimization: Manage the balance between in-house talent and outsourced resources to maintain high margins without sacrificing quality.
2. Strategic Media Measurement & ROI Governance
Media Measurement: Lead the deployment of measurement frameworks (MMM, Attribution, Incrementality) not just as technical reports, but as tools for business retention and growth.
ROI Stewardship: Act as the internal authority on campaign performance, ensuring that "measurement" translates directly into "client reinvestment."
Strategic Storytelling: Transform raw operational and performance data into high-level narratives for executive-level QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews).
3. Roadmap & Product Integration
Operational Roadmap: Supervise the development of the operational roadmap, prioritizing tech rollouts that improve team productivity and reduce manual errors.
Feedback Loops: Drive business requirements back to the Product and Engineering teams to ensure the advertising platform evolves according to client needs and operational realities.
4. Organizational Leadership & P&L Alignment
Headcount Planning: Responsible for team structure, hiring strategies, and capacity planning to support FPG’s aggressive growth targets.
Mentorship: Lead a culture of high performance; mentor team on people management, financial literacy, and operational rigor.
Financial Oversight: Partner with Finance to track operational spend, vendor costs, and the overall "cost-to-serve" for the RMN business.
Job Requirements
Experience
10-15+ Years in Business Ops: Proven track record in a leadership role within a high-growth digital environment (Media, Agency, or Tech).
Strategic Scaling: Experience managing "managers" and navigating complex, matrixed global organizations.
The "Hybrid" Expert: You must possess a deep understanding of the digital ad ecosystem but view it through the lens of a Business Lead (focusing on efficiency, scale, and profit).
Technical & Soft Skills
Analytical Rigor: Proficiency and the ability to drive data-based decisions is mandatory.
Executive Presence: Ability to command a room of senior stakeholders (CMOs, Brand Leads) and simplify complex operational hurdles into clear business choices.
Project Management: Master of frameworks (Agile, Lean ) to eliminate waste and optimize workflows.
