Public Relations Officer (Construction)

We are seeking a proactive and communicative Public Relations Officer to manage community relations and public enquiries for our upcoming construction project. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the project team, the local residents, and the Authority, ensuring smooth communication and swift resolution of any feedback or concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Public Relations & Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for all public relations matters related to the new contract; assist the Authority in executing their PR programmes.

• Enquiry & Feedback Management: Handle public enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly; coordinate and follow up on actions required to resolve issues effectively.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong, positive relationships with local residents and community stakeholders.

• Meetings & Collaboration: Attend regular meetings, briefings, and presentations with the Authority and external entities to discuss areas of improvement.

• Reporting & Documentation: Accurate documentation, monitoring, and tabulation of public feedback reports for management review.

• Ad-hoc Support: Assist with other customer service and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Minimum GCE "O" Level Certificate.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.

  • Prior experience in public relations, community relations, or customer service is highly preferred.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to manage public relations issues and general project queries with residents effectively.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure.

• Communication:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, plus one other official language (to facilitate communication with a diverse demographic of residents).
