Job Description - Senior Executive, Brand & Digital Communications

Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF)

If you know how to turn ideas into attention, content into community, and campaigns into real-world action — without sounding like every other brand on the internet — we should talk.

At BCF, communications is not just about posting content. Itis about building public understanding, strengthening health literacy, supporting advocacy, and helping more people engage with a mission that matters: advocating early detection and supporting the breast cancer community in Singapore.

We are looking for a Senior Executive, Brand & Digital Communications to strengthen BCF’s social media presence, brand consistency and campaign execution across digital and on-ground touchpoints. This role is for someone who is creative, organised, digitally sharp and strong in follow-through — someone who can own deliverables end-to-end within scope, communicate early, work collaboratively, and improve what they touch.

You will be part of the Advocacy & Communications team and work closely with colleagues across fundraising, programmes and operations to help BCF show up consistently, credibly and engagingly.

What you will do

1) Own social media execution and digital content delivery

  • Develop and execute BCF’s social media plans in line with campaign priorities, awareness goals and organisational needs.
  • Own the day-to-day management of BCF’s social media platforms, ensuring content is timely, relevant, accurate and aligned with BCF’s voice.
  • Maintain an integrated content calendar across key platforms, with clear timelines, owners and follow-through.
  • Create, curate and adapt content including short-form videos, graphics, stories, captions, campaign assets and community-led content.
  • Monitor platform performance, audience behaviour and engagement trends, and recommend practical actions to improve reach, engagement and conversion.
  • Manage online community engagement in a timely, respectful and brand-safe manner.
  • Use digital and AI tools responsibly to support content development, workflow efficiency and performance analysis.

2) Support brand consistency and campaign execution

  • Support the implementation of BCF’s brand and communications strategy across digital, social, media and on-ground touchpoints.
  • Plan and execute integrated advocacy, outreach, education and fundraising campaigns together with internal teams and external partners.
  • Translate organisational priorities into campaign messages, creative briefs, content plans and communications materials that are clear, engaging and audience-appropriate.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to BCF’s brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Coordinate with designers, agencies, vendors and production partners to ensure work is delivered on time, on brief and to a strong standard.
  • Support campaign reporting by consolidating results, documenting learnings and recommending improvements for future activations.

3) Coordinate stakeholders and support “One BCF” delivery

  • Coordinate with corporate partners, healthcare institutions, community organisations, media partners, influencers and content collaborators to support BCF’s outreach and advocacy efforts.
  • Work closely with fundraising, programmes and operations teams to align communications with organisational priorities and avoid fragmented messaging.
  • Support partnership activations, outreach initiatives, joint campaigns and awareness events.
  • Prepare decks, briefing notes, communication materials and structured updates for partners, sponsors and management when needed.
  • Communicate changes, dependencies and risks early, and help close loops with clear next steps and owners.

4) Improve workflows, reporting and digital ways of working

  • Track campaign, content and platform performance using dashboards, reports and agreed metrics.
  • Keep a clear and reliable record of content plans, approvals, assets, versions and reporting data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, content production and reporting systems through better use of tools, templates, AI and automation.
  • Use AI tools to support research, ideation, content drafting, adaptation, repurposing, transcription, summarisation and reporting, while applying strong human judgement and editorial oversight.
  • Pilot practical new formats, tools or channel approaches, evaluate what works, and recommend what to keep, improve or stop.
  • Stay current with developments in digital marketing, social media, AI-enabled content tools and audience behaviour, and turn that learning into useful action for BCF.

5) Support public education and outreach where needed

  • Support breast cancer awareness and education efforts through campaign content, outreach materials and audience-friendly communications.
  • Be open to supporting or delivering awareness talks and outreach sessions for corporate or community audiences where needed.
  • Ensure communications on breast cancer and survivorship-related topics are handled with care, accuracy and sensitivity.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong relevant experience, sound judgement and the right attitude — not just someone who matches one exact profile.

You may come from:

  • brand and digital communications
  • social media and content marketing
  • media, campaigns or public education
  • creative, digital or integrated agencies
  • advocacy, community engagement or cause-based communications
  • in-house marketing, communications or digital roles

We would love to hear from you if you bring:

  • Relevant experience in digital communications, social media, content creation, campaign execution or brand management
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, digital storytelling and audience engagement
  • Ability to plan and execute campaigns from concept to post-campaign review
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Confidence managing multiple stakeholders and moving work forward with good coordination and follow-through
  • A good visual eye and strong instincts for what makes content clear, engaging and on-brand
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, Gemini or similar platforms
  • Applied AI literacy — able to use AI tools productively for ideation, drafting, adaptation, analysis and workflow support, while knowing when human judgement, review and rewriting are required
  • Strong editorial judgement — able to review AI-assisted content critically for tone, factual accuracy, sensitivity, inclusivity, medical appropriateness and brand fit
  • Responsible digital judgement — understands the need to protect confidentiality, respect data and privacy boundaries, avoid plagiarism or copyright issues, and use AI tools in a safe, ethical and transparent way
  • Digital agility — comfortable learning new platforms, testing new formats, and improving workflows through automation and better tool use
  • Good organisational discipline and the ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing quality or detail

Helpful, but not mandatory

  • Experience in healthcare, social impact, education, community engagement or the non-profit sector
  • Experience with outreach talks, public education or community-facing events
  • Experience using AI tools for content ideation, social media planning, campaign reporting, workflow automation or digital content production
  • Familiarity with prompt writing, content repurposing, basic automation workflows or AI-assisted analytics
  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Media, Communications, Marketing or a related field
  • A portfolio showing relevant content, campaign or digital work

We are not fixed on one exact background.
If your experience is relevant, your work is strong, and you are motivated to do your best work in service of BCF’s mission, we would love to hear from you.

The kind of person who will thrive here

At BCF, we hire for more than technical ability. We hire for character, judgement and how you work with others.

You lead with integrity

You communicate honestly and responsibly. You care about accuracy, sensitivity and trust, and you do not chase clicks at the expense of credibility.

You bring accountability

You take ownership of your work, manage timelines, follow through and close loops. You do not need to be chased for basics.

You work collaboratively

You co-design early, coordinate across teams and share information clearly. You know that strong communications work is built with others, not in isolation.

You show empathy

You understand that this work touches real people, real fears and real journeys. You communicate with care, emotional intelligence and respect.

You practise mutual respect

You listen well, stay calm under pressure and work professionally with colleagues, partners, vendors and community stakeholders.

You bring innovation with judgement

You are curious, creative and open to better ways of working. You use digital and AI tools confidently and responsibly to improve content, workflows and results — but you also know that judgement, accuracy, empathy and trust cannot be outsourced.

Why join BCF

This is a chance to do work that is both creative and meaningful.

You will help shape how BCF shows up to the public, how we build awareness, and how we engage communities, partners and supporters. You will be part of a team that is strengthening its culture around empathy, integrity, collaboration, accountability, innovation and mutual respect — not as slogans, but as everyday expectations.

If you are energised by storytelling, digital engagement, campaign execution and public impact, this role may fit you very well.

Application note

BCF is committed to a fair, merit-based and non-discriminatory hiring process. We assess applicants based on job-related skills, relevant experience and values-aligned behaviours. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and can discuss reasonable adjustments to support an accessible hiring process where needed. Please submit only information relevant to your application, and do not include NRIC/FIN details at the initial application stage. Any personal data submitted will be used for recruitment purposes and handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
