Job Description - Senior Manager/ Lead, Corporate Communications (3 years)

What you'll do:

As the Senior Manager or Lead for Corporate Communications based in Singapore’s Raffles Place district, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public perception of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences both internally and externally. You will work closely with C-suite leaders to prepare them for critical public-facing events while ensuring that all communications reflect the company’s values of trustworthiness and collaboration.

In times of crisis or rapid change, your ability to respond swiftly with clear messaging will be essential. You will also oversee media relations efforts by coordinating press releases and interviews while maintaining strong relationships with journalists in the technology sector. Internally, you will design programmes that foster engagement among employees across regional offices. Your collaborative approach will see you partnering with HR teams on change management initiatives as well as mentoring junior staff members to build a high-performing communications culture. By unifying messaging across departments and regions, you will help drive alignment throughout the organisation.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communications strategies that enhance brand reputation and foster stakeholder trust across multiple regions.
  • Advise C-suite executives by preparing them for high-profile media interviews, speaking engagements, panel appearances, and investor briefings with tailored messaging.
  • Craft speeches, briefing notes, and key messages for leadership teams while demonstrating agility during urgent or last-minute changes.
  • Lead executive visibility campaigns focused on personal brand building and thought leadership through various channels including media, events, and social platforms.
  • Act as a central figure in crisis communications planning by developing playbooks, reactive holding statements, FAQs, and incident communication workflows.
  • Manage time-sensitive escalations with internal leadership and external media under tight deadlines to ensure consistent messaging during crises.
  • Drive earned and paid media strategies by understanding news cycles and journalist priorities relevant to the technology and data infrastructure sectors.
  • Handle media queries, press releases, interview coordination, and proactive storytelling while nurturing trusted relationships with journalists.
  • Design internal communication programmes that drive employee engagement, reinforce organisational culture, and support change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external Public Relations agencies as well as internal marketing, sales, operations, and leadership teams to unify messaging across all touchpoints.

What you bring:

To excel as Senior Manager or Lead for Corporate Communications in this organisation’s Singapore office, you will bring extensive experience from previous roles within corporate communications or public relations. Your background should include significant exposure to crisis management scenarios where your calm demeanour enabled successful resolution of issues under tight deadlines. You have worked closely with senior leaders—preparing them for public engagements—and possess strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective advisory relationships.

Your familiarity with technology-driven narratives (particularly those relating to data centres) allows you to communicate complex concepts clearly. Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for supporting cross-border initiatives throughout Southeast Asia and Greater China. Your writing prowess enables you to adapt tone according to audience needs while maintaining consistency across all channels. As someone who thrives on collaboration yet takes initiative when required, you are comfortable leading projects independently but also enjoy mentoring junior colleagues within a supportive team environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field provides a solid foundation for success in this role.
  • 10–15 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations demonstrates your depth of knowledge in managing complex projects.
  • Proven track record handling crisis communications situations with calmness under pressure ensures effective issue management.
  • Experience advising C-level executives on sensitive matters equips you to deliver clarity during high-stakes interactions.
  • Strong media handling skills including press relationships and media training allow you to manage both earned and paid media strategies effectively.
  • Familiarity with technology narratives—especially within data centres or related industries—is highly desirable for this position.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin enables you to support regional communications across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities combined with advanced writing and editing skills empower you to craft impactful messages for varied audiences.
  • Self-starter attitude means you can lead projects independently while owning outcomes from start to finish.
  • Collaborative mindset paired with a positive attitude fosters teamwork across departments and regions.
