About the Role
We’re looking for a collaborative, data-driven, creative thought leader with great
human and business instincts to work as a Strategist embedded with our client,
Google, based in Singapore. As a Strategist, you will collaborate across teams to create
inspiring, one-of-a-kind campaigns, programs, and experiences for high-profile brand
moments. You will help find new ways to make the Google Cloud brands and its
products more tangible, human, trustworthy, and enjoyable.
You’ll work with a range of internal and external partners to craft brand stories and
strategies that captivate the hearts and minds of our B2B customers, writing narratives
that bridge the gap between data and storytelling. You’re a strategic thinker and a
collaborative doer who thrives on the cutting edge, with a passion for creative
excellence.
This role is based in Singapore, working 2-3 days per week in the client's office.
What You’ll be Doing (including but not limited to):
● Lead strategic thinking and problem solving for Cloud campaigns, executing
breakthrough B2B strategies for JAPAC markets, including India, Australia,
Southeast Asia, and Japan
● Develop an insight and turn it into a tangible strategy for a big idea, rooted in a
business problem.
● Help translate and frame global (US) product documentation, playbooks, and
briefs for local market nuances.
● Work closely with the creative team to help keep their ideas on strategy.
● Write insight-led creative briefs to help inspire breakthrough creative concepts
across a wide-range of marketing activities, including campaigns, programs,
events, and experiences.
● Leverage AI tools to innovate the strategic process, including research, persona
generation, and storytelling.
● Act as the team expert on B2B target personas to help the team evaluate
creative concepts and drive differentiation.
● Analyze the competitive landscape and identify trends (industry and media) and
opportunities that could optimize current and future work.
● Partner with the internal Insights & Analytics team and Media Lab to define
measurement loops that prove campaign impact and ensure successful
programs are Anniversaried
● Help sell ideas through the quality of your thinking, presentation skills,
relationship-building abilities, and enthusiasm for our vision.
● Continuously learn about the rapidly evolving Cloud and AI product roadmap.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, production, media, product
marketing, and executives) and external partners and agencies to take insights
and ideas from conception to realization.
Qualifications
● 10-15+ years of experience in Creative Strategy or Brand Planner roles at top-tier
advertising agencies, within the JAPAC region, is an absolute must.
● Demonstrated tech expertise, with a proven ability to apply 'consumer-grade'
storytelling to complex audiences while preserving product gravitas.
● Strong portfolio of campaign work for well-known brands and ad campaigns.
● Proven ability to distill complex strategies into succinct, clear, single-minded
creative ideas and insights.
● Experience writing compelling creative briefs and presenting to creative teams.
● Deep understanding of trends and culture with an understanding of how to link
trends and customer knowledge with campaign work and communication
strategies.
● Ability to analyze data, customer perceptions, product truths, and synthesize
into insights and strategic points of view to inform creative development.
● Experience working cross-functionally: comfortable and effective at working
with designers, writers, producers, marketers, operations, product managers,
and executives.
● Must be an autonomous self-starter with strong self-motivation to prioritize
workload, manage competing demands, and meet project deadlines.
● Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication and
presentation skills.
● Strong executive presence and experience interfacing with senior leaders.
