Job Title: 3G / 4G / 6G ARC Welder (U-Turn)

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled and certified 3G / 4G / 6G ARC Welders (U-Turn Position) with expertise in manual arc welding for high-pressure pipelines, structural assemblies, and industrial components. Candidates must have proven expertise in vertical, overhead, and inclined welding positions, particularly U-Turn joint configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ARC welding in 3G, 4G, and 6G positions as per welding procedure specifications (WPS).
  

• Accurately interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
  

• Execute precise welds on various metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.
  

• Maintain welding quality standards in accordance with ASME, AWS, or equivalent codes.
  

• Perform U-turn weld joint preparation, setup, and completion ensuring root pass, fill, and cap integrity.
  

• Conduct visual inspections and self-checks of welds to identify and repair defects.
  

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company guidelines during all welding operations.
  

• Work with minimal supervision and ensure timely completion of assigned welding tasks.
  

• Coordinate with fitters, supervisors, and QA/QC teams to ensure quality compliance.
  

• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Welding Technology or equivalent.
  

• Valid Welder Qualification Certificate (3G / 4G / 6G) from recognized authority.
  

• Certified in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) / MMAW process.
  

• Knowledge of U-Turn joint preparation and execution is mandatory.
  

Skills Required:

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
  

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding symbols.
  

• Ability to handle welding equipment and tools efficiently.
  

• Capable of maintaining consistent quality under challenging working conditions (e.g., confined spaces, elevated platforms).
  

• Familiarity with quality inspection processes (NDT, RT, UT preferred).
  

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
