Accountant

1) Financial Reporting

• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

2) Month-End and Year-End Closing

• Manage the financial reporting including the preparation of financial reports, such as profit and loss account, balance sheet, management financial report, and regulatory reports and filings

3) Financial Management Operations

• Monitor cash flows and plan to optimize asset flow efficiency
• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (ie. AP & AR process, GL, Account Reconciliation, etc.)
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties
• Support forecasting and budgeting exercise
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST, WHT, CIT), audits, procedures
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

4) Reconciliation & Audit Schedules

• Validate all collections reconciliation
• Validate Bank Reconciliation
• Prepare Audit Schedules & Reconciliation

5) Statutory Reporting & Tax Compliance

• Financial Year-End Audit preparation
• Corporate Income Tax preparation
• Statistic report preparation
• Sales Audit preparation
• Sales Declaration statement
• GST Filing preparation
• WH Tax preparation

• Professional Accountancy Qualification, Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
• At least 5 years of working experience, preferably Senior Executive specializing in Accounting from Retail Industry
• Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• A self-starter who is able to plan, well organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
• Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
