Accountant

Responsibilities: - 

• Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month-end close in compliance with regional & statutory requirements.

• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely resolution of audit queries and requests.

• Prepare and review GST/VAT workings, and support corporate tax, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.

• Assist cash flow monitoring.

• Work closely with all business functions on retail operations and ensure Finance compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

• Support Senior Finance Manager in system enhancement, finance transformation and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements; - 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or professional accounting qualification, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.

• Experience in retail industry is highly preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.

• Hands-on and meticulous individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel with hands-on experience in SAP accounting software.
