Job Description - Accountant (6 months, $3500, Orchard) - Professional Development Opportunities

Contract duration: 6 months

Salary: $4000

Working hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm

Location: Orchard

Responsibilities:

Manage month end closing including review and commentaries for financial statements and management reports
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and commentaries
Prepare monthly cashflow reports and variance analysis
Support in preparation of budget and forecast
Review and submission of GST reports
Liaise with external auditor in statutory audit and ensure compliance of statutory reporting
Liaise with corporate secretary and manage corporate secretarial matters
Liaise with tax agent in company income tax matters
Assist in finance daily operations including liaise with various internal and external parties on finance related matters
Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time

Key competencies

Degree or professional qualifications in Finance / Accounting
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar capacity in retail/FMCG industry
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and controls
Hands-on, analytical, accurate and meticulous
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Positive attitude, independent, self-starter, detail oriented, good communication skills, strong team player and able to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficiency in Excel and experience in SAP will be an added advantage
