As a Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring GST reporting and compliance.
• Review the creditors' aging, reconcile vendor accounts, and process payments to creditors.
• Manage month-end closing, including preparing journals, general ledger reconciliations (including bank reconciliations), and monthly fluctuation analysis.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring liabilities are accurately recorded and paid on time.
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns and adherence to GST rules and regulations.
• Review debit note requests for accuracy.
• Manage both internal and external audits, ensuring their timely completion and resolution of any issues.
• Participate in process improvement projects and upgrades to the ERP system.
• Identify and lead initiatives for process enhancements.
• Perform any other duties or projects as assigned from time to time.
   

Requirements: 

• Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent, with 6-8 years of experience in managing Accounts Payable for mid to large-sized companies.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office. 
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of GST and experience managing a team.
