This requirement brings the need for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team, who will support the Financial Controller in overseeing the shared accounting function of Asia Franchise Business Unit (AFBU) and ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements

and corporate governance framework.

What Success Looks Like

You will be a finance partner and advisor focusing primarily on the Asia Franchise Business region, covering the business across Asia including Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, SOPAC, Thailand and China.  This position will be based in Singapore with minimal travel

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a small team responsible for the accounting of entities within Asia Franchise and ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements and corporate governance framework

• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of month-end closing and monthly/quarterly management reporting, maintaining a robust internal control system

• Key liaison with external auditors on statutory reporting. Responsible for the preparation of yearly audited Financial Statements with Notes to the Accounts

• Compile and complete all statutory surveys

• Identify process improvement opportunities by working closely with FC and/or IT to incorporate best practices and leverage system functionality

• Business partner with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with at least 5 years of relevant working experience (minimum of 2 years in Big 4, and 2 years’ supervisory experience)

• CPA qualification

• Good knowledge of US GAAP and SOX

• Experience in working in multicultural MNC environment

• Highly analytical with good business acumen and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and good stakeholder management skills

• Self-motivated, independent, and versatile team player

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the incumbent will work closely with a great support network and enablers:

• The person in this position will also support and interact with other functions within the Asia FBU (Operations, HR, Legal, Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D/QA and IT), Global Control, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit teams, as well as Franchise contacts, consultants, banks and vendors.
