Job Title : Accounts & Administrative Assistant
Reports To: The Accounts & Administrative Assistant will report to Senior Finance Manager.
Job Overview: Handle full functions of AR/AP function in Finance Department
Responsibilities and Duties:
Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Receivable, including monthly cash flow forecast
- Follow up with customers to encourage timely payments including but not limited to chasing customers for payments for overdue balances by phone/email and coordinate with customers to resolve any payment discrepancies
- Coordinate the local cheque/cash bank-in process and update all receipts into NAV/BC on a daily basis
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and handle reconciling issues promptly
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all financial transactions
- Prepare/Record/Reconcile month-end rebates/Trade Offers Credit Notes
- Month end closing for Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
- Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Payable, including monthly cash flow forecast
- Processing invoices and expense claims and payments accurately and promptly.
- Verifying vendor and bank account information to ensure secure payments.
- Communicating with vendors and staff regarding payments and accounting issues.
- Monitoring bank balances for sufficient funds.
- Preparing reports for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing, including bank reconciliation, AP aging reports and GST reports.
- Month end closing for Accounts Payable
Other Scope
- Support Audit of Singapore accounts
- Office administrative tasks
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least NITEC in Accounting/LCCI/CAT/Diploma in Accountancy.
- Basic working knowledge on GST.
- Good in Microsoft Excel.
- Responsible and work well as a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective in multi-tasking, able to handle pressure and work in a fast paced environment.
- Self-driven and independent with a strong sense of commitment and urgency to meet deadlines.
