Job Description - Accounts Executive (AP)

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

Ensure that AP month-end closing is completed within the timeline.
Preforms vendor verficiation and creation in SAP.
Processes payables transactions including supplier invoices and employee reimbursements in accordance with accounting principles, GST regulations and to the correct GL account based on nature of expenses.
Checks invoices for compliance with financial policies, circulates invoices for department verification and approval and ensures proper documentation before payment is made.
Prepares reconciliations on balance sheet schedules, vendor and general ledger.
Prepares month-end journals payable accurals and prepayments and amortization.
Assists in preparing GST report for submission.
Assists in year-end external and internal audits, prepares audit schedules.
Provides business partnering to business divisions and suppliers on Accounts Payable queries.
Ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Accountancy.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an MNC environment and within a high-volume environment.
Good working knowledge on GST regulations.
Good Microsoft Excel skills and experience in computerized accounting system. SAP accounting system will be an advantage.
Meticulous, well organized and detailed oriented.
Able to work under pressure and adhere to tight datelines.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
