Business Function
GFM Operations -GFM Ops operates as a Regional Processing Centre (Hub & Spoke) supporting GFM businesses in the region. The hub and spoke model allow GFM business to scale up while remaining agile in product and service offerings in the fast, evolving market environment. As GFM business expands product offerings in the region coupled with the dynamic regulatory environment, GFM Ops leverages on this unique advantage to continue to standardize processes to manage processing risk and to facilitate automation as well as governance of service level and quality.
The incumbent is given opportunities to undertake trade reporting support role and exposure to engage with Legal & Compliance, GFM Business and Technology; co-create and co-partner in our continual pursuit towards compliant and accurate trade reporting obligations to major jurisdictions e.g MAS, ASIC, MiFID, EMIR, CFTC, OSC etc
Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end Over-the-Counter (OTC) transaction life-cycle trade reporting support for GFM derivatives products to fulfil regulatory reporting obligations
Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting
Ensure risk & control obligations are adhered to
Be data driven, build and measure GFMO Performance Service, Quality and Data Analysis via DDOM (Data Driven Operating Model) Dashboards
Review legacy processes and exception handling to eliminate toil in processes
Trade Repository Reporting (TR)
Validate the daily TR reports being House and or Client Delegation
Investigate on any discrepancies and investigation on root cause
Monitor the report acknowledgement and investigate for any rejected trades
Review the successfully submitted report in Depository Trust & Clearing Corp (DTCC)-Global Trade Repository (GTR) and EOD completeness checks
Engage on the build of TR Reporting (new, revise, update)
Keep abreast of regulatory updates and able to drive enhancements, initiatives resulting from Regulatory changes such as Rewrites/Refits
Support New Product Approval (NPA) Process - review all NPAs related to TR, identify and resolve issues and deviations for pre and post product launch
Support end-to-end process on Delegate Reporting of Commodity Future Trading Commission (CFTC)
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
Good understanding of the end-to-end transaction lifecycle of OTC & Treasury products
Banking experience in Trade Reporting and season worker and SME on DTCC and Regulatory requirements specifications
Critical thinking, analytical, ability to work independently, organized and have a problem-solving mindset, ability to design analytical dashboards
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access or VBA and Python are added advantage.
Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
Embraces DBS PRIDE values, communicates and share information with the team, promotes team collegiality
Other Skills/Abilities
Strong Data Literacy
Proficient in Business Intelligence Tools (Example: Tableau) is an added advantage
