APAC Business Support Manager, Trading Desk Support

A global markets intermediary is hiring a manager to lead its L1 and L2 business support team in Asia Pacific. The team sits next to the brokers and keeps day-to-day trading running across voice, electronic and hybrid desks.

The role:

1. Lead a team of 10 to 20 across APAC providing L1 and L2 support to brokers and clients on onboarding, order initiation, trade management, connectivity, STP and system configuration.
2. Resolve issues at L1 and L2 wherever possible. Tell a booking problem from a connectivity or client setup problem, and escalate to technology or operations only when needed, with the detail they need to act.
3. Be the main contact for brokers, technology, operations and clients when something affects the desk, and keep them informed until it is resolved.
4. Improve how the team works: clearer ownership, better use of ticketing, and more automation and AI in routine support tasks.
5. Hire, coach and develop the team, and report on service levels, recurring issues and risk to senior management.

What we are looking for:

1. Experience leading a trade support, business support or desk support team in a broker, interdealer broker or trading venue. Bank candidates with strong front office desk support are also welcome.
2. A working understanding of how a broker runs day to day: client setup, order intake, trade capture and confirmation, clearing and settlement.
3. Exposure to Credit, Rates, FX, Equities or Energy & Commodities. Credit is a plus.
4. Comfort with ticketing and incident tools (ServiceNow is a plus) and calm in a fast, live trading environment.
5. Clear communication with brokers, clients and senior stakeholders.
6. Practical interest in using AI and automation to remove manual work.

Nice to have:

1. Experience supporting more than one region or time zone.
2. Experience supporting voice or hybrid broking desks.
