APAC Tax Manager (Hedge Fund)

We are currently partnering with a global investment firm who have a strong foothold in Asia.

They are looking to hire a Tax Manager to oversee tax activities across the APAC region.

This role will be responsible for the following:

• Provide tax advisory support across trading entities and asset management operations, including related-party and cross-border transactions.
• Oversee APAC tax compliance and tax provisions for audited financial statements, liaising with internal finance teams and external tax advisors.
• Assess new jurisdictions for PE risk, TSH provisions, treaty access and transfer pricing implications; support office openings/closures, contractual reviews (including IT/server arrangements), and tax rulings.
• Advise trading teams on applicable tax rules and requirements across APAC jurisdictions.
• Address employee-related tax matters, including mobility issues and PE risks arising from travelling staff.
• Conduct tax research on Asia-focused tax matters and interpret appropriate tax treatments.
• Support APAC tax audits for management companies and funds.
• Coordinate with advisors and internal teams on transfer pricing, CBCR and BEPS initiatives.
• Monitor APAC tax developments and provide updates to the wider tax function.
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Legal and HR teams.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• 15+ years of international tax advisory and compliance experience ideally from a Hedge Fund or Asset Management firm, or International Investment Bank.
• Relevant recognized qualification (ATA, CTA, CPA, or equivalent) required
• Experience with tax regimes in APAC
