API Testing - Tim

NUS Enterprise is looking for a skilled API Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the functionality, reliability, and performance of our APIs necessary to support our innovation and startup ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and working with the development team to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our products.

Your contributions will ensure that our systems operate smoothly and contribute to the overall success of our initiatives at NUS Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute API test plans and test cases based on system requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of APIs.
• Identify, report, and track defects using appropriate tools.
• Collaborate with developers to understand the technical aspects of the APIs and provide feedback on proper implementation.
• Automate testing processes where possible to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery processes.
• Provide documentation of test results and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in API testing, preferably in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation testing (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
