Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments to confirm feasibility of production of materials having specific characteristics
- Study and advise on proper physical properties, of polymers, compounds and alloys to various processing conditions
- Confer with customer to determine how to tailor materials to their needs
- Test material sample for physical properties to determine conformance to relevant specifications
- Scout raw material suppliers for new products or application development
- Create and maintain global best practices for formulation, production and Quality Control of engineering plastics/high temperature resins polymers
- Evaluate regional hubs capabilities and make suggestions for improvements and alignment
- Establish and vet project plans
- Tabulate data into information for training commercial people and for customer presentations
- Implement effective Designs of Experiments (DOE) to maximize information and return on resources
Requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree (Polymer or Chemical Engineering related)
- Min 2-3 years relevant experience and expertise in polymer industry or a process engineer working experience from the injection molding industry
- Experience with handling and operating manufacturing machines on a daily basis, preferred to be extrusion/plastics injection moulding machine
