Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide technical support and troubleshoot software applications across our corporate office and other business units. You'll collaborate closely with development teams, system administrators, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance of our software systems.

Additionally, you will be involved in implementing, managing, and enhancing production systems and operational processes, driving performance improvements, executing change management, and leading knowledge management strategies. As the primary contact for application-related matters, you will also oversee new software requirements, solution design, and product management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely technical support to end-users, resolving software issues and queries efficiently.
• Troubleshoot application problems, determining root causes and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
• Manage software installations, upgrades, and patches to ensure compatibility, reliability, and security.
• Proactively monitor application performance and system logs to optimize system reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze software defects and provide feedback for improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for end-users and support staff.
• Assist in software configuration, customization, and integration efforts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT support organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Process related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software development or solution design.
• More than 3 years of experience in supporting or leading solution implementation projects.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Proficient in software, databases, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Experienced in project management, with involvement in 2 software development cycles.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with non-technical users.
• Customer-oriented approach, ensuring prompt delivery of support services.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to deadlines.
• Proven experience in application support, technical support, or helpdesk roles.
• Familiar with enterprise software applications such as ERP Systems, SAP systems or similar.
