Job Description - Architectural Manager

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Lead and manage all architectural works throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design coordination to construction and handover.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor site progress, workmanship, quality standards, and construction schedules for architectural works.
  • Manage architectural subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality performance.
  • Resolve technical, design, and construction-related issues affecting architectural works.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee architectural finishes, façade works, waterproofing, fit-out works, doors, ceilings, flooring, and building envelope systems.
  • Support project planning, construction sequencing, and coordination with structural and M&E teams.
  • Manage defects rectification, testing and commissioning support, project handover, and close-out activities.
  • Prepare project reports, progress updates, and presentations for management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Extensive experience in architectural finishes, fit-out works, waterproofing, façade systems, and building envelope construction.
  • Ability to interpret and review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspections, testing requirements, and quality management systems.
  • Experience in construction sequencing and multidisciplinary coordination with structural, civil, and M&E works.
  • Familiarity with authority requirements, statutory regulations, and building codes.
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination, digital construction technologies, and clash detection processes.
  • Proficient in project planning, progress monitoring, and resource management.
  • Experience in contract administration, variation management, and subcontractor performance evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and risk management principles.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
  • Strong report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
  • Familiar with authority submissions, inspections, and project handover processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
