AS400 Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Core Banking Interface Analyst to analyze existing SICB (Silverlake Integrated Banking Solution) and (Core Banking System Platform) programs and document detailed interface specifications. The role involves reviewing and documenting approximately 300 interface files, ensuring accurate functional and technical understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing SICB and SIBS core banking programs to understand interface flows and dependencies.
• Review and document interface specifications including input/output structures, file formats, data mappings, and processing logic.
• Work extensively with AS400 (IBM i) systems and RPG programs to extract technical details.
• Identify upstream and downstream system integrations and data exchange mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business, application, and technical teams to validate interface documentation.
• Ensure documentation meets enterprise standards and supports future maintenance or migration activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AS400 / IBM i platform.
• Solid programming experience in RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE).
• Proven experience working with SICB (Silverlake) and/or core banking systems.
• Experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of interface programs.
• Strong understanding of core banking integrations, batch processing, and file-based interfaces.
• Excellent documentation and analytical skills.

Good to Have

• Banking or financial services domain experience.
• Exposure to core banking modernization or migration projects.
• Experience working in regulated environments.

Key Deliverables

• Complete and accurate interface specification documents for ~300 interfaces.
• Clear mapping of system interactions, data flows, and dependencies.
