Assembly Supervisor

Primary Function

Responsible to lead, guide and supervise his team to achieve daily work target i.e. on time delivery, standards and manpower utilisation as well as responsible for the welfare of his team members

Job Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

1. Conduct daily section meeting with his team members to discuss daily work schedule, work specifications and manpower arrangement

1. Schedule necessary manpower allocation for outside jobs or future home leave

1. Approve withdrawal of materials/tools for his section

1. Check and discuss work progress of the day with his respective Project Manager / Engineer

1. Discuss with Project Team when his team encounter any technical problem and to seek consensus for certain applications within procedures

1. Arrange new/existing fitters to be trained by the Foreman or a senior Fitter

1. Conduct employee counselling

1. Review work schedule with Foreman and seek clearance from Manager for deployment of manpower for overtime work

1. Supervise daily housekeeping including working tools in the workplace

1. Supervise daily equipment and tools maintenance

1. Promote and supervise safe work practices of his team members

1. Communicate and co-ordinate with other departments/sections to ensure continuity of work process

1. Prepare and approve employee daily timesheet before submitting to Admin for update on next immediate working day

1. Working with Continuous Improvement Team for future improvement in Fitting Department

1. Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor

Minimum Requirements

• Technical Diploma/ ITE or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by Management

• Minimum 5 years experience in relevant trade with hands-on knowledge in dismantling and assembling of drilling equipment/components of which 2 years in supervisory role or as deemed sufficient by Management
