Job Title: Assembly Technician / Asst Engineer

Overall Job Objective

The Assembly Technician’s / Asst Engineer’s role is to complete assigned jobs in a high mix, low volume environment with a focus on quality of work, on-time delivery, safety and high productivity.

Core Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly drawings;
• Perform assembly of medium to large jigs and fixtures more than 1metre in length based on drawing requirements;
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and standard parts;
• Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning and lubricating; 
• Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products;
• Perform installation, repair & inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required;
• Maintain good housekeeping within work area;
• Manage assembly scheduling and monitor job readiness at assembly; 
• Assist in related projects or assignments assigned by Supervisor / Manager.

Requirements

• NITEC / Diploma in Precision Engineering or equivalent would be preferred. 
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Able to work independently and possess a high level of initiative. A self-motivated team player.
• Able to work overtime and willing to work shifts when required.
• An eye for detail and a steady hand for precision assembly work.
• A good general technical and mechanical knowledge.
• Training will be provided for those without relevant qualifications and working experience.
