Asset Manager Compliance Officer

Our client is one of Japan's largest asset management firms that is looking Asset Management and Junior Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with preparing regulatory engagement with MAS, managing filings, inspections, and supervisory communications
2. Work with existing compliance team to advise senior management and business units on regulatory requirements, fund structuring, and cross-border activities
3. Conduct compliance monitoring program such as employee compliance, control testing and work on thematic reviews
4. Enhance the firm’s compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls
5. Manage AML/CFT framework including KYC, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring across fund structures
6. Partner with senior members of the team to provide risk-based, commercially aligned compliance advice
7. Coordinate with internal audit, external auditors, and regional/global compliance teams on governance matters
8. Assess regulatory changes and implementation of new MAS requirements
9. Promote compliance culture through training
10. Work with external service providers on various engagements including but not limited to corporate secretary work

Requirements:

1. 4-6 years of relevant compliance experience within financial services; experience in asset management or alternative investments is advantageous
2. Positive attitude with a hands-on mindset
3. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate requirements into practical business solutions
4. Knowledge of MAS regulations and Singapore regulatory environment is advantageous
5. Understanding of investment products, fund structures, and cross-border regulations is advantageous
