Job Description - Assistant Campus Planning & Development Manager


Overview


Drive the planning and development of Alexandra Hospital's future campus by shaping redevelopment strategies, evaluating infrastructure opportunities, and translating operational needs into sustainable, patient-centric built environment solutions that support the hospital's long-term strategic goals.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead planning studies, feasibility assessments, and option evaluations to identify and recommend effective campus development and infrastructure solutions.

  • Engage stakeholders to define project requirements and translate operational, clinical, and service needs into functional planning strategies and development briefs.

  • Coordinate consultants, public agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated planning and design solutions aligned with project objectives and organisational priorities.

  • Review planning and design proposals to ensure compliance with technical, operational, regulatory, and strategic requirements.

  • Support management and governance decision-making through insightful analysis, planning recommendations, and the preparation of business cases, reports, and presentations.

  • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring healthcare planning trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices to enhance future campus planning initiatives.


 


Requirement



  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related built environment discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in institutional, commercial, or healthcare projects; exposure to planning studies or feasibility assessments is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse groups.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, exercising sound judgment, and managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Adaptable, organised, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams.


 


This is a 3-year contract role, subject to extension based on satisfactory work performance organisation needs.
