Job Description - Assistant Commercial Manager - Opportunity to Make a Difference

We are searching for a proactive Assistant Commercial Manager to join our growing team at CORTEN INTERIOR SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. in Tiong Bahru, Central Region.

We are looking for a highly ambitious and career motivated person with commercial acumen to lead and run the existing QS function and team in place. Reporting to the Commercial manager, you are to ensure project is delivered within financial parameters and contractual obligations.

Job Scope

  • Pre and post contract and cost control duties
  • Responsible for estimating and tendering, value engineering, bid following up with Clients’ Quantity Surveyor
  • Responsible for contract administration, negotiation with sub-contractor/supplier 
  • Prepare project procurement plan, budget, cash flow projection
  • Manage budget and ensuring costs are kept under control
  • Procurement, variation orders, payments, and final accounts management
  • Collect and update market prices for material and labour cost, for data base to be kept up to date
  • Managing, mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior team members

 

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in fitting-out projects, with minimum of 5 years working experience in Singapore is preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other professionals to manage project costs and contractual matters
  • Must have essential computer skills to execute the work.
  • Ability to interpret information from various sources.
  • Good knowledge in pricing and contract management.
  • Pro-active, result oriented and ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
  • Solid track record of overseeing and delivering Fit out projects.
