Assistant Country Operations Manager (Pacific Islands)

Job Description

• evelop the business of heavy construction and mining equipment (sales and services) in Papua New Guinea
• Oversee operations for mining, logging, agriculture or other business opportunities in identified countries within the Pacific Islands.
• Negotiate with government authorities on licensing and statutory requirements.
• Familiarity of export regulations, customs duties and logistics arrangements.
• Develop and implement business plan to attain Group’s objectives.
• Develop effective operations and overall productivity programmes.
• Monitor daily operation and performance so that staff can perform their respective task.
• Manage human resources and ensure staff to follow company policies and procedures.
• Schedule regular meetings to update to Management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Management or Commerce
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in business development in new markets.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods, when required.
• Initiative and self-driven to achieve Group’s objectives.
• Proactive in identifying market opportunities and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of mining, engineering and finance shall be advantageous.
• Excellent Communication skills with all levels of people, verbal and written.
