Job Description - Assistant Manager, Beverage (Only Singaporeans)

As a Host/Bar Supervisor at our prestigious Golf Club Lounge, you will be an integral part of providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our members and guests. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the lounge by warmly greeting members and guests, managing reservations, and attending to their needs throughout their visit. Your friendly demeanor and attention to detail will contribute to the overall ambiance and satisfaction of our patrons.

  • Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome members and guests as they arrive at the lounge, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Reservation Management: Handle reservation inquiries. Record reservations accurately in the system, ensuring that tables are appropriately allocated and prepared.
  • Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the lounge menu, including food and beverage offerings, specials, and promotions. Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Customer Service: Anticipate the needs of guests and proactively address any concerns or special requests. Ensure that all guest inquiries and feedback are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the lounge area, including tables, chairs, and décor. Collaborate with the cleaning staff to ensure that the space is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless coordination of food and beverage service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all guest needs are met efficiently.
  • Upselling and Promotions: Promote special menu items, events, and promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum "O" Levels and equivalent.

Experience 

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge  

  • Knowledge of whisky is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work long hours, including Public Holidays and Weekends and deliver top performance under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
