As an Assistant Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Financial Management and Accounting:
• Ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures is critical for maintaining financial integrity. This involves scrutinizing purchase papers to verify compliance with budget allocations and procurement regulations.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential for understanding purchasing needs and ensuring they are met effectively. Providing guidance and support throughout the procurement process enhances efficiency and helps in making informed decisions.
• Compliance with procurement regulations and internal controls is crucial for transparency and accountability. By overseeing governance for purchases, the organization can mitigate risks associated with financial mismanagement.
• Evaluating the financial viability of vendors and negotiating terms and conditions are necessary for achieving optimal value for the organization. This involves assessing not only the cost but also the quality and reliability of goods or services provided.
• Budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting for community events require careful attention to detail to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and transparently.
• Updating finance policies and workflows and participating in system enhancements ensure that financial processes remain relevant and aligned with organizational needs.
• Additionally, involvement in system implementations, such as procurement and SAP FICO, is crucial for adapting to new statutory or operational requirements.
• Proper management of fixed assets and tracking of approved budgets contribute to effective financial planning and resource allocation within the organization.
• Providing support to the Executive Council demonstrates a commitment to organizational governance and effective decision-making processes.
• Fund Management: 
• Responsibilities focus on budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, donor relations, fundraising support, and compliance with regulations.
• Ensuring strong governance and compliance to the Charities Act is paramount for maintaining the organization's reputation and fulfilling its charitable objectives.

Requirements: 

• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience.
• Previous experience in finance or procurement roles, with a focus on purchases and payments management. 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data and make informed decisions.
• Proficient with procurement systems and SAP FICO will be preferred.
