Get to Know the Role

You will help restaurants adopt Grab's suite of business solutions designed to increase revenue, improve customer engagement, and improve daily operations. As Grab continues to expand its merchant ecosystem, you will help merchants identify growth opportunities through a broader suite of business solutions across both online and offline channels.

These solutions include:

• Table management solutions
• Deals, loyalty and customer engagement tools
• Food delivery
• QR ordering
• Digital payment solutions
• Advertising and promotional solutions
• Customer insights and CRM tools

You will work directly with restaurant owners and senior decision-makers, taking a consultative approach to understanding their business priorities and identifying opportunities to grow through Grab's ecosystem. You will be expected to manage larger and more complex opportunities, bringing together the right solutions to support merchants' commercial goals.

As a senior member of the team, you will also play a role in raising overall team effectiveness — supporting less experienced team members, sharing best practices, and taking ownership of selected team and business initiatives.

You will report to the Manager, Merchant Sales and be based onsite at Grab Singapore.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Identify and acquire new restaurant partners through cold calling, networking, referrals, field prospecting, and face-to-face meetings, including larger and more strategic opportunities
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of sales opportunities with disciplined CRM and pipeline management
• Understand merchants' business models, challenges, and growth priorities, and recommend suitable solutions across Grab's ecosystem
• Lead consultative sales conversations, presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions with business owners and senior decision-makers
• Independently manage complex and multi-product opportunities from prospecting through to close
• Build long-term relationships with merchants and proactively identify opportunities to deepen their partnership with Grab
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Account Management, Product, and other teams to ensure successful onboarding and adoption of Grab solutions
• Support and coach less experienced team members through deal strategy, pitches, and sharing of best practices
• Take ownership of selected team or business initiatives and support the Manager, Merchant Sales on broader team priorities where required
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve sales processes, commercial approaches, and overall team effectiveness

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or other client-facing commercial roles, with a strong track record of delivering against sales targets
• Proven experience prospecting, hunting, and acquiring new business through a consultative sales approach
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand a merchant's business model, growth priorities and operational challenges, and translate these into relevant business solutions
• Experience managing larger or more complex opportunities involving business owners, senior decision-makers and multiple stakeholders
• Ability to sell across a suite of products and solutions, identifying opportunities beyond the merchant's immediate need
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to independently drive opportunities from prospecting through to close
• Thrives in fast-paced, target-driven environments and demonstrates strong ownership, judgement and accountability
• Ability to coach and support less experienced team members, share best practices and contribute to raising the overall effectiveness of the sales team
• Comfortable taking on broader leadership responsibilities where required, including supporting strategic initiatives, complex pitches and team priorities
