The Role

As the Demand & Supply Planning Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for all forecasting activities to create an accurate demand forecast mid-long term for our Food Businesses. In this role, you will also support the Demand & Supply Planning Manager to lead IBP with DC, Store and Commercial team for OOS, SMS review and KPI reporting, lead improvement on vendor fulfilment, and projects.
 

  • Perform end-to-end of the order cycle for inventory management including coordinating with the suppliers and distribution centres, to ensure timely delivery of goods to island-wide stores.
  • Responsible for healthy on-shelf availability of inventories to meet customers' demands.
  • Work closely with Demand Planners on weekly demand forecasting activities, and plan and communicate weekly allocation to stores. 
  • Work with flow-through suppliers to secure stocks for promotions and festive.
  • Work closely with the suppliers for timely rebuy of all perishable SKUs and continuously improve on service level including van sales, DSP vendors.
  • Responsible for optimising inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock and improve stock holding by managing MOQs and delivery frequency.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team and the distribution centres to anticipate and manage promotions, festive build-ups, new products, excess products, and discontinued items exit strategies.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to manage slow moving stocks and plan for timely clearance. 
  • Utilize demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and other data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in replenishment processes and performance
  • Monitor and track KPI, drive performance and perform root cause analysis
  • Management of key upscale indent vendors.
  • Ensure full compliance on processes and audit and highlight any exceptions.
  • Lead and manage team, including setting goals, providing guidance and support, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Lead and support supply chain projects.
  • Generate weekly reports to review the vendor’s service level performance.
  • Utilize demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and other data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in replenishment processes and performance.
  • Develop and implement replenishment strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand, considering lead times, transportation costs, and supplier.

 

About You

  • Minimum Diploma in Business, preferably Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in similar capacity.
  • Experienced in forecasting, data analytics, inventory planning, supply chain concepts, statistical forecasting, and related processes. 
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical capability, excellent negotiation, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Power Query, Power BI and analytical skills will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of DC operational routines in Retail industry is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
